Whether you are new to wine or just want to review your skills, this 10-minute class
on the steps of professional wine evaluation will show you the tools used by the
Court of Master Sommeliers and the International Sommelier Guild.
Learn the ins and outs of professional wine evaluation using sight, smell, and palate evaluation. They say women’s palates are more sensitive than men’s… let’s see if they are right!

Take a look at how grapes transform themselves in some of the top regions of the world. Examine Pacific Northwest top-performers such as Riesling, Pinot Noir, and Syrah against their international counterparts. See how climate, soil, and region affect the wines.

Move around the sensory stations to see the effects of different flavors on wine. Foods will highlight the perceptions of sweet, salty, sour and spicy. See what they do to the wine in the glass as the wines are accented with small bites from The Herbfarm kitchen!
