"Why I Work for Wine"

A personal account from a woman executive in the Washington wine industry on what it means to work in the industry, how she got to this point and how in her opinion, the Washington wine region is one of the most exciting places in the world of wine.

Robin Pollard is the executive director of the Washington Wine Commission (WWC), the state organization representing nearly 900 wine grape growers and producers in Washington State. Pollard is responsible for directing local, national and international initiatives to promote Washington wine, including marketing, public relations, public affairs, member relations and export programs. She oversees a $3.5 million budget and a staff of ten.
